TalkSPORT pundit tears into Fulham player’s “selfish, ridiculous and incomprehensible decision”

|

Another day, another pundit that is expressing their outrage over one of the more stupid things that have happened to Fulham in recent years.

You do wonder if this is going to be something that hangs over our heads throughout the rest of the season, or until we do something even worse.

Talking to talkSPORT, former Republic of Ireland international Andy Townsend did not hold back on his views of Ademola Lookman for his last-minute penalty antics against West Ham over the weekend, even using him as an example of how we tend to treat loan players and young players in general in football:

Would you drop Lookman for what he did?

Yes

No

Certainly more passionate in his views than former Fulham captain Danny Murphy was.

There’s part of me that thinks this could be bordering on ‘public shaming’ for Lookman for his penalty antics against West Ham United, and perhaps it’s going a bit too far. But as I discussed yesterday, he can’t be allowed to get off Scott free from this, there has to be something done to make sure that he learns from this incident, and hopefully means he’ll come back stronger and in a position to make amends for what he has done later in the season.

What about you? What do you make of Townsend’s comments?
