Surely Things Can Only Get Better For Fulham

|

It’s Monday morning, the day after yet another defeat.

For many, the end of the 2018 / 2019 season cannot come quick enough.

A very poor season has left us facing relegation, it’s not a threat but we feel a probability.

Victories, for Fulham, have been a rarity this season, our latest run of form has seen the side lose 8 of their last 9 Premier League games, a shocking statistic.

But, then again, when you’re having the kind of season we’re having then that’s not the only shocking statistic that comes to the fore.

This season, with 6 London teams in the Premier League, Fulham have contrived to lose all 10, in the process becoming the first club to do that in a single season.

Furthermore, in all competitions, in 2019, Fulham have lost 9 games, that figure is more than any other side in the top five European Leagues, another shocking statistic.

Yesterday, against Chelsea, Scott Parker restored Kevin McDonald to the Fulham midfield, a move that the support applauded, however, it would appear, according to the statistics, McDonald and victories in the Premier League are a rarity. In the 38 Premier League games McDonald has played he’s only received a win bonus on 3 occasions, apparently, that’s a win percentage of 7.9%, in the history of the Premier League, only Rudy Gestade has fared worse with 2 wins in 51 games, a win percentage of 3.9%.

But let’s look on the bright side, surely things can only get better!
