Back in those days when the sun shone, namely the August transfer window, Fulham, according to the press, made a last-gasp move to lure a striker to Craven Cottage.

Those same press reports indicate the move fell through but is about to be resurrected with Martin Jol keen to bring the twenty-five year old Marseille striker, Andre-Pierre Gignac, to Craven Cottage this January.

Gignac has fallen out of favour at Marseille and Jol is keen to bolster a squad that can, at times, be considered a little thin on the ground. But, naturally, Fulham do have competition with Wolfsburg also interested.

One to keep an eye on though we think!
