Being a little short of strikers, what with Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson now residing at Loftus Road and Pavel Pogrebnyak doing the dirty on us, Martin Jol has moved quickly to plug one gap.

The tabloids are reporting that Jol has moved to secure the service of the Croatian striker, Mladen Petric after his contract at Hamburg, was allowed to run down.

Now, whilst we must confess to knowing very little about Petric; it isn`t the case for Jol who was in charge at Hamburg when Petric was there.

It`ll be interesting to see how he gets on in the Premier League.

  • Awesome! Now that’s a really good fill in for another year or even two! But we still need a new TM, the younger – the better.
