It would appear that since taking over the managerial reigns from Martin Jol, Rene Meulensteen hasn`t had a job title upgrade.

Speaking ahead of the clash with Sheffield United, in the FA Cup, Meulensteen has confirmed that he`s still just the head-coach and only has a contract until the end of the season, remarking,

“We will wait and see about whether my position as head coach stays the same. I will just do my utmost to stay in the Premier League and when it happens we will get our heads together and talk about the future.”

With Alan Curbishley and Ray Wilkins lurking in the wings, is it a possible case of deja-vu?
