Last weekend we stumbled across an article that implied that the ex-Fulham player, Steed Malbranque, was heading for Villa Park.
It suggested that Steed was deemed as surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane.
Steed was a popular figure at Craven Cottage and some supporters would like to see him return. Unfortunately, that doesn`t appear to be something on the Roy Hodgson wish list,
Instead it now looks as if Steed could be heading to the north-east with the Sunderland manager, Roy Keane, having made a tentative enquiry.
Steed`s agent, Frederic Dobraje, has commented,
“Sunderland are the only team to have been in touch about Steed. No other club, including Aston Villa, has made contact.”
Forgive me if I seem rude but I`d have thought Steed`s silky skills deserved a better stage then the Stadium of Light!
