After taking one point from two successive home games, the pressure is on Ray Lewington to get something from the next two games to ease the pressure. The first of these is on Boxing Day when the lads travel the relatively short distance to White Hart Lane.

Unfortunately, that magnificent transport system we rely on to get around th ecapital these days is malfunctioning again on Boxing Day. There are no trains to Tottenham Hale and the Victoria Line is taking a well earned break.

So unless you fancy walking you`ll have to rely on a far form frequent emergency bus service, or get your friendly aunt who popped around for the festivities to drop you off and pick you up later on, remember to tell her the jumper she got you is just what you wanted though!

Vital Quotes:

“There`s not a lot I want for Christmas but three points would go down well”

Me – one editor praying for that eleusive away win!

Spurs Team News:

Perhaps we shouldn`t bother too much about the opposition, perhaps we should focus on what we should do!

However, it might be nice to know that Jenas, Dawson and Bent are all doubtful whils King, Bale, Rocha, Gardner and Ekotto are all out. Zokora is suspended.

As for Steed Malbranque – who?

Player to watch: Berbatov

One player who could well be eyeing a transfer in the January transfer window. He may look as if he`s enjoying himself but we here at Vital Fulham view it as a means of putting himself in the shop window. However, don`t expect us to bid for him more the likes of United and Chelsea! Remember where you read it first.

Fulham Team News:

Ray Lewington woul dhave been pleased at the level of comittment his players showed against Wigan after the sacking of Lawrie Sanchez on Friday morning. For the Wigan fixture he basically stuck with the same starting eleven that Sanchez favoured except for one or two minor tweaks.

We see nothing to suggest that this won`t be the case on Wednesday. One possible change could see Chris Baird come in for young Elliot Omozusi who limped off on Saturday and he may bolster the midfield with an extra body to the detriment of the strike force.

We`ll go for a starting eleven of,

Niemi, Baird, Bocanegra, Hughes, Konchesky, Davis, Murphy, Davies, Smertin, Bouazza, Kamara

Player to watch: Danny Murphy

The mifielder has resurected his career at Premier League level since joining us and he`ll be keen to put one over an old club. Look out for Danny to be keen to be keen to take any free kicks that come our way especially in dangerous positions around the edge of the area.

Match Facts & Stats

We`ve not won away from home since time begun, we can`t keep a clean sheet but we`ll be up for it!

Match Prediction:

It`s hard to predict an away win when you`ve got such a dismal away record as us, however, it`s got to end sometime and why not on Boxing Day? Perhaps Spurs will be laden with Christmas puddding or over-stuffed on the turkey, perhaps Paul Robinson will feel like giving us a present or two! Therefore, I`m going to be bold, I`m going to brave and predict that we`ll share the points in a 1-1 draw!

Next Fixtures:

After having had two consecutive home games it was perhaps inevitable that we`d have two away on the trot. The fact that it ocmes over the festive period is pretty galling when it comes to finanical matters. Thankfully, the club have recognised this nad have laid on free coaches for season ticket holders and members for the haul up the motorway to Birmingham City next Saturday. No excuses, get there and cheer on the lads!
