Select Bent Says Master Magath!

A trip to Villa Park beckons for Fulham this afternoon as we seek to pull of something akin to a minor miracle and salvage our Premier League future.

For one player it`ll be a return, albeit sitting in the stands, to the club that hold his registration.

Darren Bent is on a season long loan with Fulham, from Villa, but is unable to be considered for selection against his parent club.

However, it would appear that although Bent has been forced to sit out recent fixtures with Felix Magath preferring to start with our talented youngster Woodrow and Dembele, the boss is coming under increasing pressure to play Bent.

We`ll let Felix take up the story;

“Darren Bent is a very good player and my son`s favourite player. He`s told me for six years that I have to buy Darren Bent, when I was manager of Wolfsburg and he was at Sunderland. Now he always tells me that Darren Bent has to play.”

Continuing on a Bent theme, recently Darren expressed his disappointment at not being a regular starter and in particular last weekend, and Magath has confirmed that the two have had words on the subject with Magath remaking,

“There are no problems. He is a player we need but the risk to let him play was too big as he didn`t finish training on Friday.”

Am I alone in thinking that Fulham have under-used Darren Bent this season?
