Although he`s not getting any younger, Mark Schwarzer still commands respect as being up there with the best keepers around.
Indeed, the veteran stands on the brink of a unique achievement and looks set to join the exclusive band of footballers that have 100 international caps to their name.
Currently, Schwarzer has 99 caps but his inclusion in the Australian squad for the forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Jordan places him firmly in the driving seat to pick up that one hundredth cap.
Incidentally, in doing so, Mark will become the first Australian to reach such a feat.
