Reports this morning are suggesting Sanchez is heading for a legal battle with Fulham after failing to receive a penny in compensation since his pre-Christmas sacking.

Mohamed Al Fayed is believed to be reluctant to pay off Sanchez after his former manager spent £26million last summer but landed his team in the relegation zone.

Sanchez had signed an ‘indefinite rolling contract’ after being named permanent manager in May and believes he is entitled to a significant six figure pay-off.

It is believed Sanchez’s former assistant Terry Gibson has reached a settlement.

A Fulham spokesperson said: ‘Our lawyers are in contact with Lawrie Sanchez’s lawyers. Negotiations are on-going.’

How about we give him Baird? Where is our compensation then Lawrie?
