Sanchez to Spend Again!

I recently read several articles, attributed to that Spanish geezer who recently took over at White Hart Lane.

In them he, reportedly, suggested that only teams that are in serious trouble buy players in the January transfer window, I guess he`d label it as a sort of panic buying.

Therefore, I`d surmise that we, as a club, will fall nicely into that category.

Although Lawrie Sanchez spent in excess of £25 million in the summer, (a point we continue to hang our hats on), it transpires that there is a ‘transfer kitty` available for another splurge when the January transfer window opens.

Indeed, Lawrie has been widely reported as saying,

“We`ve discussed the transfer budget and the areas we`d like to improve”

“We`d like to freshen up the team and the budget was always there after the summer and a figure set. We spoke about it the other day and we`re looking forward to doing some business in the window.”

With a relegation dog-fight looming on the horizon, it`ll be interesting to see who we purchase and exactly how many acquisitions we make.

Hopefully, with McBride, Bullard and Pearce to come back, we won`t fall into the trap of bringing in too many faces thereby running the risk of sending out a revamped team that`ll need several games to gel.

Or will we?

Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated.
