Lawrie Sanchez today told Sky Sports news that his comments regarding Arsenal and simulation, wrong. He said that Baird definitely fouled Hleb in the box and that Arsenal had a point about Sanchez comments being unjust.

Sanchez also said he talked to the referee who was in charge of the match on Sunday and said, ‘he learned a little more about diving.’ Make what you want out of that.

  • Oh that’s alright then, we’ll just get all the papers to apologise for the ‘Cheat’ comments and all live happily ever after. I hope he gets the sack, moron.

  • moron! jol is the biggest mron here! ye had your chance for top four now it’s gone! why did he spend so poorly? if there is one team that will break into the top four it will be everton.

  • Sanchez has just shown that he is no Mourinho or Ferguson – he is a much bigger man than either of them. I’d tip my hat if I were wearing one.

  • to be fair not many managers I know would admit they were wrong about critisising Arsenal because we are an easy target and the media would rather see us accused of something than being stood up for. I doubt whether this will even make the sports pages tomorrow, but well done sanchez anyway.

  • I still think if he’d looked at it again before commenting he would never have been in this situation. It was blatant immidiately to me and i was 60 yards away.

  • He did sort of say, I was wrong to come out and say they are divers but he may have dived…hollow appology.

  • I see your voyeurism isn’t confined to Arsenal sites Merlin. It is on Arsenal Newsnow, that’s why we’re here.
