If speaking your mind and subsequently the truth is sufficient to get you on a charge then perhaps I should thank the Lord I`m not a football manager.
Last night, as we crashed out of the Carling Cup to struggling Bolton, we clearly had a bloody good goal disallowed. It was a goal that would have had a considerable impact on the outcome. Instead we`re left to contemplate the fact that a chance of a rare trip to Wembley has once again passed us by.
It`s no wonder that Lawrie Sanchez almost exploded in his post match interview.
This is part of what he had to say,
“I`m getting fed up with refs who come too little old Fulham and disallow goals for no apparent reason.”
“Kamara was two yards onside when Healy hit it. It`s another goal a referee hasn`t given us. It`s bloody ridiculous. These refs are costing us week in, week out. They`re not up to the job and something has to be done about it.”
Something will be done about it Lawrie!
You`ll be hauled up in front of the authorities and put on a charge. It`s plainly easier to do that than correct the errors at source. Now that would be far too difficult wouldn`t it?
