Ruiz Wait!

After his exertions in the Carling Cup, it was back to a cameo performance for our Costa Rican signing, Bryan Ruiz, up at the Hawthorns.

But, before we all get despondent after expecting the player to come in and make an instant impression following his move from Dutch football, perhaps we should consider his words on the subject;-

“I`m working hard in training to get my rhythm and hopefully I`ll play some more in the next match.”

“I don`t feel the pressure of the price tag. I`m just going to do my best and show my quality.”

“I feel good. I`m fit. I know I can play in the Premier League. I played 120 minutes against Chelsea and that helped. The manager told me he knows it will take time for me to adapt.”

It all makes logical sense, my only question would be how long before he is firing on all cylinders.

Previously, Martin Jol had suggested that it could take as long as six months, is that a reasonable amount of time or should he be hitting the ground running a lot sooner?
