Roy Stays Level Headed!

Saturday evening saw a right old celebration going on amongst the Craven Cottage crowd.

The fact that we`d held off the threat of Birmingham, even if it was little or no threat, to take the three points on offer, has given us hope that survival is a real possibility.

Whilst accepting the trip to Fratton Park may be fraught with danger, it certainly felt nice to see our name out of the relegation zone. Thankfully, our manager, Roy Hodgson, has warned everybody about what lies ahead and the dangers of getting too euphoric after the Birmingham.

Speaking to the media following the win, this is what he had to say,

“The atmosphere after the Birmingham game was euphoric and I`m really happy about that because you should always grab the good moments in football.”

“But we`re not finished yet. That euphoria could turn to sadness if we`re not capable of beating Portsmouth and we find ourselves relegated.”

“We`ll work very hard this week to make certain we`re as prepared as possible.”

“Sunday could be a great night like the one after beating Birmingham, but it might also be a very bad night.”

A sobering thought indeed!
