The popular ex-Fulham full back, Liam Rosenior has finally spoken out the reason for leaving Fulham.
Rosenior is expected to make his Reading debut this afternoon and his departure is still rued by many at Craven Cottage.
It would appear that Rosenior felt he couldn`t adapt his game to play the long ball game supposedly preferred by Lawrie Sanchez.
Also, when Chris Baird was signed from Southampton, Liam realised that after being plucked from Bristol City as a trainee and progressing to U21 level, his time really was up at Craven Cottage.
Here`s what he had to say,
“It was about me progressing. I want t be England`s next right back and I believe I can be.”
“Everyone knows how I play and How Lawrie sets up his team and it wouldn`t have got the best out of me.”
“In the end it was a combination of him wanting me to leave and me wanting to leave.”

A Wimbledon thing then?
I’d have Liam over Chris any day he has much more potential
I’ve heard a lot of you say that, must say I always rated Rosenior!
it was a sad day when he left but we’ll get over, we have to move on!
first of all i have not seen any evidence of this “long ball” game!! Secondly I think Chris is better and just as young! Thirdly good luck to him!!
How can you say Baird is better? Rose tinted glasses me thinks, supporting the manager!
