In almost comical style, the kick has resulted in bruising to his foot and pictures in the tabloids clearly show Ronaldo wearing a protective boot.
I, for one, hope that he does play at Craven Cottage whilst the rest of the Premiership may have fallen for his silky skills, I still have a long memory and visions of Germany 2006 still haunt me.
Why, because of his stupidity, should I be deprived of my chance to dish out a bit of good natured verbal abuse?
