There were fears that the reported £7 million price tag would be enough to scare Fulham off when it came to going after Jordan Rhodes.

But, today, the tabloid press are inferring that Martin Jol is keen to land the Huddersfield striker, who scored 40 goals in helping Huddersfield achieve promotion to League One.

It appears this inference is based on the fact that there seems a good chance that Clint Dempsey will be moving on this summer and that Rhodes is seen as the ideal player to provide the goals Dempsey`s absence will leave.

  • I hope we bag him, although unproven at the top level the guy knows his way to goal and with a coach like Jol, I believe he can make the transition and be a big plus for the whites!
