Ranieri Virtually Admits His Time Is Over At Fulham After Another Abysmal Defeat.

|

Following last night’s feeble attempt to gain three crucial points against a team one place higher in the league, and suffering a complete lack of confidence, there was little to show Fulham were capable of a win against any team at this moment.

Match after match Ranieri has tinkered with his squad, yet his decisions have left the bewildered fans furious with the players and choices he makes. Chants of “You don’t know what you’re doing” again came from the Whites supporters after more changes he made at half-time.

In a post-match interview he stated, as reported by the BBC:

“The disappointment is very, very high because every time the opponent shoot at goal they scored a goal. It’s unbelievable. This season many times it happened and also tonight.

He then added;

“I think when this happens, the confidence goes down.

“We tried to do our best but that’s it, the maximum my players can do.”

In all honesty for a manager to say that “every time the opponent shoot at goal they scored a goal”, is admitting that his defence and goalkeeper are just not good enough for this league.

He continued with:

“We tried our best but that’s it, the maximum my players can do”

is a final goodbye to his short spell as Fulham boss. He knows that if his players are at the maximum they can reach, there is nowhere left to go from here.

With the next three home games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City he would look like the biggest failure in Premier League history if these teams come with their shooting boots on. With just one goal scored and 10 conceded in his last four games, and only one of those opponents being in the top six, an avalanche should be expected.

As I said in a previous article weeks ago, Ranieri is not the man for the Cottagers. Too negative with his style and the wrong players at this club to carry out those tactics. Scott Parker should be allowed to take over until at least the end of season, and we can take stock of what difference he can make until then.

We are doomed and sure of relegation, so what are we waiting for?
