After yet another away defeat and after conceding more than one goal in a game yet again, these are not the best of times for Fulham supporters.
It is no fun looking at the Premier League table and knowing, deep down, it’ll take a miracle to preserve our Premier League status, a miracle that we all know is hardly likely to be forthcoming.
The dream of competing in the Premier League is proving to be a nightmare from which it could take the club years to recover from.
The debate still rages as to whether Slavisa Jokanovic should have been given more time, although his dismissal is now history and we have to live with the results of such an action.
But appointing Claudio Ranieri now seems to have been the mistake many feared it would be when it was first announced.
There’s no denying he’s a likeable chap, but it appears his days as a top-flight manager are long gone.
Looking at the social media networks, it is clear that Ranieri’s honeymoon period, as far as the support goes, is definitely over, as the following postings illustrate:
No shots on target in a season-defining game. Ranieri one of multiple awful mistakes in a terrible terrible season.

Clueless Claudio strikes again

Fire Raineri I’ll do a better job for free

I think the above view is something many of us hold, although I’m certain none of us will be given the chance to demonstrate our managerial prowess.
But the anger continues to be vented:
Time for Claudio to go

Goodbye Claudio

Raneri the dinosaur has drained any ounce of confidence from the players since Tuesday night. What a pathetic line up. 5 at the back in a must win game. Raneri is just a fraud on one last big earner

Sack the Dinosaur.

All damning stuff and clearly, you get the impression that the supporters have had enough.
But, with just thirteen games to go, is it too late to make another change in the managerial hot-seat?
Should we, as one post suggests, bring in a man who has seen it, done it and brought the t-shirt:
Our only hope now is Sam Allardyce! Ranieri out!
— Rugamban'engwe (@Rugusuki) February 2, 2019
I can’t see it happening, can you?
We’re just doomed!
