Having surmised, yesterday, that QPR had a serious interest in Andrew Johnson, it looks as if interest alone won`t be enough to get a deal struck.
Indeed, it looks as if Martin Jol isn`t going to sell AJ unless the price is right with the boss remarking about the approach being turned down,
“I told Andy what`s the point of selling him for that kind of money to a rival. Of course he will stay here and if he is not signing he can leave at the end of the season.”
Whilst accepting that the £2 million offered might be considered somewhat derisory, is it not better than the nowt we`ll get when his contract expires!
