Instant heroes don`t often come along but with five goals in three games Pavel Pogrebnyak is well on the way to becoming just that.

“Who needs Zamora when we`ve got the Pog?”
Ringing around Craven Cottage, on Sunday afternoon the Fulham faithful have a new hero.
Speaking about his Russian acquisition, after the game, Martin Jol had this to say about resurrecting the career of Pavel,
“He knows he`s got a chance with us.”
“I went to watch him years ago when I was in Germany. You can`t say that he`s had the best of times.”
“We`ve got a lot of strikers here and if they don`t score then they`re out of the team.”
“We promised him that we`ll get him games.”
“He`s a good lad. I`ve got a feeling he wants to be here, to prove a point. After five goals you have to say that he`s a pretty good signing.”
