Reports are filtering through that Burnley have turned down a bid for their striker, Kyle Lafferty.

Fulham, if the reports are correct, made an undisclosed offer for Lafferty an offer that the Burnley manager, Steve Cotterill, turned down.

Lafferty, off course, has played for Lawrie Sanchez during his time as Northern Ireland manager.

In deciding to reject Fulham`s apparent bid for the 19-year-old, Cotterill remarked,

‘We don’t want to sell Kyle.”

‘We have turned down Fulham’s offer and we are not anticipating another one. We don’t want to sell him.’

However, Cotterill did concede that there come a time when they will not be able to hang on to the player remarking,

‘There would obviously come a time, if an offer ever got to a certain figure; that the club would have to look at it.’

We’ll keep you informed of any developments.
