Sitting perilously close to the relegation zone and having nightmares about Fulham Football Club taking the plunge through the relegation trap-door and into League One, is giving me nightmares.

Now is the time or those players in the squad who are the more experienced professionals to step forward and use all their experience to drag the club out of the dog-fight that could cause the club irreparable harm, with one such player being Scott Parker.

Parker was in the starting eleven against Birmingham City, on Saturday, following the 1-1 draw whereby Fulham had to hang on for a point towards the end with the returning from injury Marcus Bettinelli pulling off some fine saves, Scott had this to say to the media afterwards,

“Everyone knows we can score goals but we also let a lot in.

“But there was one big difference that emerged at St Andrews, away from home and against one of the strongest teams in the division.

“Some character, some fight, and a determination to grind out a result whatever the opposition throw at us.”

That last line reflects exactly what is needed as we seek to secure our Championship future.
