One Huge Signing Completes The Fulham Midfield For The Big Challenge Ahead

|

Back in May, after Fulham had secured promotion to the Premier League, I doubt whether any of the Fulham support would have anticipated that Fulham would have been so prolific in the summer transfer window.

As the window prepared to slam shut yesterday, Fulham’s relentless activity in the transfer market saw a 12th signing made, but it is a signing that could be the final piece of the jigsaw.

With Jean Michael Seri having already joined the club for a record transfer fee, Fulham went very close to matching the fee they paid for Seri by agreeing on a deal, said to be of the magnitude of £22.3 million for the Marseille midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa.

The 22-year-old is a Cameroon international and featured prominently for his former club, Marseille, last season, making 54 appearances including one in the Europa League Final where his side were beaten by Atletico Madrid.

Upon completing the deal to become a Fulham player, the BBC, credits the player as having remarked,

“I’m delighted to have signed for Fulham.

“This is a new chapter in my career and one I’m really looking forward to.

“I hope to bring my qualities to this new project. I like a challenge and I will give my very best to my team, the club and the supporters.”

His signing excites us here at Vital Fulham, the prospect of seeing Kevin McDonald, Jean Michael Seri, Tom Cairney and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa in the same midfield shows just how ambitious our club are as they seek to do more than just survive in the Premier League this season.

The big kick-off, this Saturday, against Crystal Palace can’t come quick enough.
