One of the more interesting rumours in circulation this weekend has our club linked with a player who has a reputation second to none.
In fact you could say that his acquisition would be greeted with a buzz of excitement.
The player in question is Allesandro Del Piero who has been told by his club, Juventus, that he can leave at the end of the season.
But, one factor that could quell that early enthusiasm is that Del Piero is 36 years of age!
Would it be sensible to invest what would be a huge amount of capital, on the wages of a thirty-six year old veteran who has never sampled life in the Premier League?
