Following the 1-0 reverse, at Stoke, Martin Jol wasn`t a happy man.
The Fulham boss didn`t feel that his side got the protection they deserved from the referee and likened Tony Pulis` outfit to a rugby side, remarking,
‘In the first half, they bully teams and we couldn’t get the ball out of our half.
‘It is their style and I admire their style. It’s almost a rugby team. I don’t want to talk about the referee, I don’t want to look for excuses.
‘The second half was better and I think that we deserved a point. Stoke is always difficult for us. They have a lot of size and Brede Hangeland was not there for us.’
It was always going to be hard, defensively, without our defensive lynch-pin against Stoke although Martin has a valid point, Stoke do get away with murder from set-pieces.
