Danny Murphy was probably one of the most surprising signings on transfer deadline day.
The thirty year old had struggled, after leaving Charlton, to make an impact at Tottenham after shining at Anfield.
Indeed there are rumours circulating that Danny, who scored a superb equaliser on Saturday, is only on loan.
That`s a fact that Lawrie Sanchez, speaking recently, has been quick to correct, remarking,
“He is such a good finisher but he has so many other good qualities as well. He didn`t have the best of times at Tottenham. They have a lot of good players.”
“He`s experienced and we needed midfield cover with (Pap Bouba) Diop going to Portsmouth on deadline day, so we signed him that night.”
“It is not a loan as some people think. He`s here until the end of the season and has the chance to show what he can do.”
