You need to be working with your players, you need to be getting to grips with the newcomers, you need to be blending together a team but????..

Once again those internationals have disrupted proceedings. It`s long between a debatable subject, club or country and at this moment I know what I prefer.

There again, perhaps we should take time out to look at how Lawrie Sanchez feels.

After signing a plethora of players, he`d probably like nothing better than to be at Motspur Park working with them, instead, he`s as peeved as the rest of us.

This is what he told a news reporter,

“The season has been disrupted big time, the window has closed and I won`t see them before Thursday (next week) before traveling to Wigan on the Friday.”

Who was it who bemoaned the internationals suggesting his team had bad performances after them due to a lack of time for preparation for the next domestic football?

Jose Mourinho I believe!

I never thought I`d agree with him, never!

  • José is always right Putney. And this break comes very bad. We have a couple of big games early and now two weeks without all players. Plus the injury thing. I think the last year we had one international break without one injury or more.

  • nice little dig there although I’m sure more players are getting injured these days and its not as if the game is as physical as it used to be!
