Football is a passionate game, it has its high`s and its lows, unfortunately down here in West London, we have had more lows than high`s this season.
After spending a fortune in the summer, we had every reason to be optimistic, thoughts of a mid table position, perhaps even pushing for a UEFA Cup place were prevalent.
Late goals saw us lose games we looked like getting something from. Sadness became a common feeling as we plunged towards the bottom three.
Once there, we consoled ourselves that we`d escape. The appointment of Roy Hodgson gave us renewed hope but it was a false dawn – the damage had already begun.
Today I believed we would get three points, instead we lost. The escape from relegation looks more impossible now, fixture by fixture.
Walking through Bishops Park tonight, I don`t mind admitting I shed a tear or two, unfortunately, I can`t help thinking they are the first of many more too come!
