Following on from Mark Hughes revelations as to why he left Fulham Football Club, at such short notice, Mohamed Al-Fayed has given his verdict on Hughes.
In a feisty interview, Mohamed Al-Fayed has branded Hughes as a ‘strange man` and a `flop` whilst also remarking,
“Sacked by Manchester City, he was becoming a forgotten man when I rescued him to become manager of Fulham Football Club. Even when results were bad, I did not put pressure on him. I gave him every support – financial, moral and personal.”
It all seems a far cry to when Mohamed Al-Fayed was touting Hughes as being better than Roy Hodgson!
