Yesterday afternoon, it was a relieved Fulham faithful that filtered out of Craven Cottage.

Fulham had, as we`d requested, taken the three points on offer against an MK Dons side that were, before the game, just one point behind us in the Championship.

A defeat at the hands of MK Dons would have seen Fulham plunge into the bottom three, a situation that would have filled us all with panic.

But, after seeing the opening goal of the game, scored by Ross McCormack, levelled by our visitors, a winner from Moussa Dembele lifted us four points clear of the three clubs at the bottom.

We are by no means out of the relegation battle but we do have a little breathing space.

After the 2-1 win Slavisa Jokanovic spoke to the media and had this to say,

‘It’s the end of the run without any wins, in front of us are seven cup finals. We are not safe with this three points today.

‘I can be satisfied with many things today, with the way my team played, but it’s not time for a holiday.

‘We have a job in front of us. In three days’ time we have another cup final in front of us.

‘We made one mistake and I believe we can avoid this situation where MK Dons scored their goal.’

Each game between now and the end of the season, or until we are safe, will be nerve-wracking, let`s hope the boys don`t let us down.
