After the disappointment of losing the first game of their Australian tour 2-1 to Gold Coast United, courtesy of two late goals, Fulham bounced back with a convincing 3-0 win over Melbourne Victory.

Fulham took the lead through an Andy Johnson penalty just past the thirty minute mark when the same player had been brought down by the former Wolves player, Kevin Muscatt.

Credit though must go to the superb through ball from Danny Murphy that set Johnson on his way towards goal. AJ made no mistake with his spot kick, sticking it low to the keeper`s left.

The second half saw Fulham go up through the gears and with sixty-seven minutes gone doubled their lead. The scorer was again Johnson but this time of the Eddie variety with the American racing on to a through ball to finish with aplomb.

Six minutes later Erik Nevland put the game out of the home sides reach with the third. The Norwegian raced on to a pass from Seol Ki-Hyeon to finish with ease.

Nevland could have made it four but could only watch on in anguish as his lob hit the cross bar.

All in all, a good result.
