Up at Villa Park things appear to be going from bad-to-worse for the former Fulham striker Ross McCormack.

The striker, who cost Villa £14 million back in the summer of 2016, is being forced to train with the U23 squad following the incident whereby he enraged Steve Bruce by phoning in saying he couldn`t make it in to training as his electric gates to his house were stuck shut.

Today, the good folk of Talksport are reporting that McCormack will not play for Aston Villa again until he apologizes with Bruce quoted as having remarked,

“Ross has to apologise to me and the team. If that happens we`ll get on with it. There`s been no reaction from him so far.

“Until he admits it was unacceptable he will stay with the U23`s, I call it the reserves.”

One way out of his Villa nightmare would be a transfer deadline day move but, as Bruce remarks, there have been no enquiries, so far!
