Last night, in Prague, Ross McCormack starred for Scotland.

After being called up by Gordon Strachan, for international duty, following the Scotland squad being hit by a spate of injuries, we suggested yesterday that McCormack would spearhead the Scotland attack.

Our call proved to be correct with McCormack starting and playing an impressive part in what was to turn out to be a remarkable 1-0 win for Gordon Strachan`s side.

Although Scotland were under constant attack from the Czech Republic, McCormack was to play a part in Scotland`s winner.

After surviving yet another scare as the Czech Republic tried to open the scoring, Scotland launched a counter-attack which saw McCormack feed a lovely ball through to the Watford player Ikechi Anya who finished with some aplomb.

In the seventy-ninth minute, having given his all for the Scottish cause, McCormack was replaced by Tony Watt, but Ross can be immensely proud of his contribution last night.
