Mancini – No Truth in the Rumour

With Fulham not playing until Sunday, courtesy of Portsmouth arsing around in the UEFA Cup, news is, once again, scarce.

But we can come up with a reasonable snippet of information that we found in ‘The Times’ of all places.

That bastion of British society devilishly suggested, in a roundabout way, that Roberto Mancini was in London to discuss taking up a post with Fulham Football Club.

Mancini has, since being sacked by Inter, been out of work but his visit to London was merely a pleasure thing, taking in some Champions League action according to his agent Giorgio De Giorgis.

Fulham have also been very quick to deny that he had met with senior club officials in Central London thereby negating any suggestion that ‘The Times’ had an element of truth in its, what appears to be, outlandish article, so much for that bastion status!
