Fulham are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Scott Malone in the two nil victory over Barnsley at the weekend at Craven Cottage was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Malone was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Malone labelled his strike against Barnsley as the best of his career, volleying home the second goal in the victory at Craven Cottage. He also kept the Tykes quiet with a sound defensive display in the 2-0 success.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Malone for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the result.

Full Team:

Sam Slocombe (Blackpool), Scott Malone (Fulham), Paul Huntington (Preston North End), Aristote Nsiala (Shrewsbury Town), Callum Connolly (Wigan Athletic), Isaiah Osbourne (Walsall), James Coppinger (Doncaster Rovers), Conor Chaplin (Portsmouth), Tom Lawrence (Ipswich Town), Anthony Pilkington (Cardiff City), James Vaughan (Bury).

Manager – Paul Lambert (Wolverhampton Wanderers).
