Martin Jol will be acutely aware that his own golden oldie – Danny Murphy – is fast approaching the end of his contract with it expiring this summer.
Murphy, now thirty-five, is a valuable member of our side and is able to dictate, from the centre of the midfield, the pace of a game.
There are many up in Merseyside that still bemoan the fact that Murphy was allowed to leave Liverpool, now whether Danny and Fulham Football Club will come to a satisfactory conclusion, a conclusion that sees Danny remain at Craven Cottage, we`re unable to say.
But, it`d be a crying shame if we didn`t follow the example set by somebody who will go down in this game of ours as, probably, the best manager the game has ever seen.
