Yet another chaotic twenty minutes or so saw Fulham slip towards defeat, although to be painfully honest, the performance given deserved nothing else in what might well go down in the history books as the worst of the season.

With Liverpool flying-high, in the Premier League, Fulham kept things tight for the first twenty minutes and the small travelling support were boosted when Kasami saw an effort hit the side netting.

However what followed in the next thirteen or so minutes showed just how fragile our side is at the moment!

With 23 minutes on the clock a Gerrard free kick caused havoc in our box. Suarez just failed to get a touch to it but Amorebieta couldn`t get out of the way of the loose ball and it hit his boy and flew past Stekelenburg.

Three minutes later the game was done and dusted when Liverpool doubled their lead. Yet again a set piece, this time a corner, was our undoing. Gerrard sent the ball into the box and Skrtel out-jumped Amorebieta to head home.

Second later it was almost 3-0 when Stekelenburg was forced to tip over a strike from the excellent Coutinho. But a third wasn`t long in coming when, with 36 minutes on the clock, Gerrard found Henderson out wide and his flick found Suarez who made no mistake.

Half time saw the exit of Zverotic and the introduction of Ruiz but it was more in hope than anticipation that we could make in-roads into the three goal deficit. Nine minutes into the half that theory was proven when Suarez got his second goal of the game.

Richardson, fumbled around at left back and got caught in possession by Gerrard who provided a ball for Suarez to turn in at the ear post.

Quite how Liverpool didn`t increase their lead is a debatable point but, in my opinion, many more performances like his one and we`ll be heading towards the relegation trap-door with not eve those four or five teams Jol mentioned as us being better than keeping us up!
