Fresh from his goal scoring exploits for Finland last night, albeit only being a penalty, it appears we may be seeing a little bit more of Jari Litmanen.

According to a quote that is doing the rounds form Roy Hodgson, namely,

“Maybe he`ll be fit and we`ll like what we see and want to keep him for next season.”

Plainly suggests that the ageing striker may well be given an extended contract.

Although Jari has yet to play for Fulham, due to a series of unfortunate injuries and mishaps, there is no doubting that his experience could prove to be invaluable.

He has played at the highest level and his knowledge could prove beneficial as we either strive to improve on our Premier League status or, god forbid, mount a crusade to regain it next season.

Any thoughts?
