Last Away Game Ends In Disappointment For Fulham’s Potential New Manager

|

Yesterday, at Molineux, the 1000 or so Fulham supporters that made the trip were hoping that the side could continue their fine run of form that had seen them in their last three Premier League games whilst also keeping three clean sheets.

Unfortunately, in what was our penultimate and last away fixture before we sample the delights of Championship football it wasn’t to be.

Wolverhampton Wanderers were, to be brutally honest, clearly the better side on the day and deserved the three points, in fact, the 1-0 margin didn’t show how dominant they were when it came to creating chances.

Following the defeat and as reported by the BBC, Scott Parker had this to say about the game:

“We are a bit disappointed. We knew the task ahead of us. We had a game plan that we worked hard on this week. We wanted to take the sting out of Wolves.

“It’s a tough place to come here but I felt we dominated the ball today and for us that’s the best way to defend. We have conceded one goal in four now and that’s down to the players.

“Our main aim now is next year and the task ahead, it’s a big task and we know what we want to do.”

Our brief flirtation with the Premier League finishes next weekend when we welcome Newcastle United to Craven Cottage, here’s hoping Fulham end their campaign with a win and a win that could further cement our desire for Scott Parker to be given the managerial role on a permanent basis.
