“Kick it Out”

Hameur Bouazza has spoken publicly about how as a youngster he suffered racial abuse.

Speaking at a recent conference, this is what he had to say,

“When I was eight or nine I suffered abuse from other children and I did not know how nasty some of them were at the time.”

“I don`t think racism is a major problem in this country but it is in other parts of the world and is something players and fans should not be subjected to. It shouldn`t matter what nationality you are or what colour your skin is.”

Bouazza has stepped forward as Fulham continue to support the campaign to eliminate racism from both sport and society.

Fulham operate a Community Sports Trust racial awareness programme entitled Different Cultures, Same Game, a campaign that is now in it`s fifth year and a campaign that is linked to Kick it Out which promotes tolerance through football.

It is a campaign everybody should support and Bouazza had this to say about it,

This focuses on educating young people and that is very important to me.
