“Keep on that track”: Key Fulham man urges players not to let current performance levels drop

Ensuring that standards don’t slip just because we’re out of the gauntlet of tough games.

That appeared to be the message that Scott Parker was sending when talking about Fulham’s place in the table, something that is looking an awful lot better than it was at earlier points of the campaign.

Having come through the games with Manchester City and Liverpool bruised but alive, Fulham’s attention now turns to a few more easy games on the schedule, starting tonight against Brighton And Hove Albion. And speaking ahead of the game, Parker believes that the past few games, both the results and the performances, have put the club in a great position to start a proper fight against relegation for the rest of the campaign:

Do you agree with Parker's comments?

Yes

No

And I agree with Parker. If we can continue playing like we did against Liverpool against the likes of Brighton and Newcastle United this week, particularly in the first half where we pretty much dominated everything except possession, we’ll be in with a good shout to get maximum points.

But as I said yesterday, the follow up performances are going to be all the more important than the ones we put in against Liverpool. If we can’t keep up that intensity and performance against the perceived ‘lesser opponents’, then we really haven’t learned much and aren’t going to achieve much going forward.

What about you? What do you make of Parkers comments?
