Although he was on the list of players who were to be released this summer, it appears that Giorgis Karagounis has been granted a reprieve.
News came in this afternoon that Greece`s most capped player, with 125 caps, has put pen-to-paper on a new one year deal.
Karagounis made 28 appearances whilst with Fulham last season and was voted as the Player of the Year runner-up by the supporters.
At 36 years of age, time is running out for Giorgis but we`re sure he`ll provide us with some special moments in the coming season.
