On another day, we`d have gotten something from the game against Manchester United yesterday.

A t times we more than matched them and it was a far better performance than the one we put on in the 4-1 thrashing we suffered, in the FA Cup, a week go.

After the game, Martin Jol had a few words to say to the media, remarking,

‘We did well in midfield and at the back. It was one of our better performances this season. “

‘But they are capable of creating something out of nothing, as Rooney did. Now, I think they will win it [the Premier League title].’

Looking at the Premier League table, as it stands this morning, I`d say it is United`s to throw away.

But, as the action was in full flow, there was that moment when the lights went out, prompting Martin to add,

‘We did well to get the lights on again. Normally it takes a long time. I feared when we came back our concentration was down and we would end up conceding a goal but it wasn’t a problem.’

Indeed it wasn`t but it was probably better for both sides that there were only a couple of minutes to play!
