Jokanovic Praises Brave Fulham Performance

|

After investing heavily in the summer transfer window, it had been a difficult start to the Premier League campaign for Slavisa Jokanovic.

Going into the fixture against Burnley, Fulham had failed to pick up a single point from their opening two games, with Jokanovic shuffling his squad around trying to find the right balance.

Against Burnley, there were some familiar faces back in the starting eleven with Marcus Bettinelli, Denis Odoi and Kevin MacDonald stating their first games of the season.

One surprise omission was Ryan Sessegnon with the talented teenage only given a place on the bench.

However, the shuffling of the pack obviously worked and afterwards, as reported by the BBC, the boss had this to say,

“We scored four goals and showed we could be a brave, attacking team.

“It’s an important step for us and we are satisfied with many things.

“We are improving, definitely. We know a huge job is ahead of us and we must keep going.

“This is the most competitive league in the world and this is not going to be an easy job for us.”

No, it isn’t, retaining our Premier League status remains the priority and anything else, as far as we are concerned, is a bonus.

Next up for Fulham is a Carabao Cup fixture against Exeter City, on Tuesday evening, it’ll certainly be interesting to see who Jokanovic selects for the starting eleven, would anyone care to hazard a guess?
