Tuesday and Wednesday have seen us run articles linking the Kansas City Wizards player, Eddie Johnson, to the club!

If we`ve read the grapevine right and it`s been hard due to the lack of genuine information being leaked out of Craven Cottage, we`re fairly certain that Johnson will become a Fulham player in the next forty-eight hours.

If we`re correct then Johnson will become the first signing of the Roy Hodgson era and will also become the fifth American on our books joining Carlos Bocanegra, Clint Dempsey, Kasey Keller and Brian McBride.

Whether he`ll be signed in time to make his debut for us against Arsenal this weekend or indeed whether he could be considered as fit enough remains a subject open to debate.

  • Whoo hoo finally we’ve nabbed him, he will be great i’m sure of it.
And did you know that he has scored back to back hatricks in the MLS

  • is he any good i am not sure the us league is up to div 1 standards let alone Prem if he’s a star international maybe he is!!!!!!!!

  • Don’t think he’ll come now that we’ve signed King. Shame – think I would’ve preferred Johnson to be honest…

  • Isn’t that what the papers do in January? I get the feeling the transfer window is more about selling tabloids than anything to do with actual football!

  • Noooooo! if we don’t get him becasue of king i will personaly kick Roy hodggdgdgson in the head
