After the narrow 2-1 win over Newcastle spirits are naturally high in the camp.

Andrew Johnson, who had a fine game and is slowly starting to show the form that tempted Fulham to pay in excess of £10 million for him, has stepped forward and starting the verbal banter ahead of the clash this weekend.

After scoring one and making one, Johnson has spoken about how the land lies ahead of the derby match remarking,

‘We are in great form as well as they are.”

‘And if we carry on playing like we did against Newcastle we will be fine.’

‘Tottenham are on a great run but their bubble has got to burst soon and we are confident we can do that.”

‘We have been playing some great football lately, just like they have, but if we were meeting after a defeat for them at Manchester City on Sunday, instead of a win, I would be more concerned because then Spurs would really come out firing next Saturday.’

Not quite sure of the logic of the last statement but it promises to be a right old humdinger!

  • i hope you guys are wrong spurs are oozing with class all over the park; and craven cottage is a place i realle don’t mind visiting.

  • Spurs’ confidence shouldn’t be an issue for us. We are now just starting to hit some form and confidence at CC is high now.

  • Should be a good game, you guys are tough to break down these days,Hodgson’s doing a great job.And you have a couple of ex Spurs who’ll want to prove a point…someones bubbles gonna burst…i’ll say a draw and west Ham lose again!

  • the cottage is going to be our saviour this season i think teams find it hard to break us down as our goals conceaded prove, although we are not playing defencivly, Hangeland and Hughes are just brillant at the back
