Claus Jensen could make a shock comeback in the white shirt of Fulham before the season ends.

The Whites midfielder has been out since October and last played five-and-a-half months ago against Wigan.

Jensen himself confirmed that he has been back training for a week although admitted a touch of soreness.

Manager Chris Coleman will be delighted to see his midfielder back after several injuries to key players this season have contributed to the team under achieving in the premiership this season.

Injuries to Diop, Pembridge, Elliot, Brown and Malbranque have blighted ay chance of consistency in the side leading to Fulham fighting in the lower regions of the Premiership for most of the season.

But now they are all back and approaching fitness and finally Jensen may return to the side as well to give the Whites a major boost as they aim to win an away game this season and make it well beyond forty points come the end of the season.

‘I trained with the squad on Thursday for the first time and I have trained every day since,’ Jensen said.

‘I can still feel some aching but that is very normal when you have been out for five and a half months.’

  • It’s great to see Claus back. I think we have certainly missed him and next season it will show.

  • jensen’s been desperately needed and will bring some much needed solidity and fluency to a midfield that has lacked both this season.

  • get him back in, him and diop together will put us at least 5 places above where we are now next season

  • I don’t know how to react. Elliot has done ok and with Diop back I think the need for Jensen is as a reserve

  • hope claus can regain his form prior to injury, you may well even pick up a win away from home before the end of the season, stranger things have happened!
