It`s looking more than likely that David Stockdale will be heading off to Portman Road, on loan.

With Ipswich Town and Leeds United in the race for the England squad keeper, we understand that Ipswich is the preferred destination due to the fact that Leeds United were reluctant to agree to a twenty-four hour return clause in the event of Mark Schwarzer picking up an injury.

It goes without saying that we`ll endeavour to keep abreast of his progress once the deal is officially announced.

  • Keep up to date Vital Fulham. The official website announced that Stockdale has signed a new 4 year deal and is off to Ipswich at 14.16 today. Great new about the new contract.

  • you bring up a good point putney… he is on the english squad… i get being hesitant about signing a contract with a recall clause if you are leeds, but where are you going to get a better keeper on loan?
